Lots of cards little time!

Well I've had several people ask me how I make so many cards so quick?  The following four cards I made in minutes and I usually make about 6 of each to send to 'OWH'.   Yesterday I put 105 cards in the mail to OWH, I've been working on them for a month.  This first one is so simple I used my Scor-pal to score my card at half inch increments then I added the red SU Lattice die cut gold dots and the salutation.
My second card is SU white card stock, scored at half inch increments then I used scraps from the SU Lattice.  I always said not to throw scraps away well I made the flower and squares and the salutation from those scraps.
Yep you guessed it scraps in 3/4 in circles and I scored the white SU card stock at one inch circles.  My salutation is 'Just Checkin In!'  I truly believe you don't have to have much to make cards.  Some people think its so expensive and it is if your like me and you have to have it all
Last card and its made with SU Rose Red card stock and scraps of paper from my scrap bin.  I got these chipboard pieces from Michael's and slapped them on.  Within an hour I made five cards of each for a total of twenty cards for 'Operation Write Home'.  Now onto the Blog Candy.

Me Bad!

OK I finally got this to work right and I uploaded this card I made for a challenge with OWH.  I used K & Co Marcella Princess paper except for the SU card stock.   Pearl thread and Pearl drops for embellishments.  I colored the flowers with Copic's BV04,BV000.

Before I put out the blog candy stuff, I want to say something about what I read on another blog today.  I started this blog because so many friends said I should share my talent after much a do I started it and to be honest I really enjoy doing this everyday.  I love making cards and I especially love doing things for others.  I am a honest person who doesn't tolerate lying and I for one don't need to beg for friends or followers.  I set up the Blog Candy because I love to give stuff to others.  I love to see people happy and I didn't see asking for you to sign up as followers and signing the comment section daily anything but what it is a chance to win a $200 blog candy.  Others see it as a plead to get people to look at my blog, not so I don't and won't beg anyone to look at this personal blog.   If you see it this way I would hope you take the time to get to know me better.

Tu Tu You!

This card was fun and thanks to a friend I forgot I had some of these images so I grabbed them and quickly made a card for a friends birthday.   The stamp is from Art Impression: http://www.sierra-enterprises.com/ai10102.htm
I used SU cardstock and tried to match my cardstock to the tutu's.  I sponged ink around the salutation, added lilac dew drops and lots of layers of cardstock.
The inside was just a piece of DSP from K & Co Marcella, Princess Papers and the greeting I just love!  This was fun to make and easy peasy!

Happy Earth Day - Blog Candy Day 6

Silly me I made a card for a challenge today only to find out that using any cupcake meant using the companies images or stamps not just any cupcake image so out of that 4 X 4 challenge I made the card into a regular size card and will put it in with the OWH stash.
I received this image through a friend and as of today when I send out images to friends I will write on the back from what company they come from.  I have one friend that does that (Deedee) and it makes it so easy to give credit, but I used SU cs, dew drops, K & Co. DSP, generic ribbon, Prima flowers and I used Copic's on my giraffe Y26,E09, E30, E35, E37, R20, R81 and my Spica's.

Blog Anniversary Candy Day 5

Some people wonder how I make so many cards so quickly.  Trust me I'm always looking for ways and this new pad of paper I bought at Michael's Monday really helped.  I used SU Very Vanilla CS stamped the Thinking of You in Chocolate Chip then added this piece of K & Company handmade 'Lofty Nest' paper glued it with vellum tape and the card is done.   I have 83 cards finished for OWH this month and will finish with the rest by the next week.

Elegant Card for anyone!

When I was out shopping the other day I found this pretty mini paper packs at Michael's marked $2.99 but the paper is so pretty.  The paper is K & Co. handmade 'Lofty nest'.  I just cut the gold vellum to match my card size, tied a navy lace ribbon around the vellum then used vellum tape to mount it.  My stamp is called 'He has Risen' by Gina K.  which I stamped on whisper white for the verse I used Stazon black ink then used Versamark for the cross and embossed it with gold embossing.  I mounted the stamped image on SU navy cardstock used 4 gold brads and mounted it on the vellum.  Quick and simple card but so elegant.

Blog Candy #3 is Emagination 6 Star punch.
Remember in order to be eligible you must be a follower and leave a comment.  On my 1 year blog anniversary I will use the random org. to draw two numbers:  one for a day 1-30 and then put in the number of people that left a comment on that day and draw a winner for the total package worth $215.  Tell your friends and enjoy the ride the Blog Candy is amazing!

Blog Anniversary Candy

I love Easel cards!  A card was meant to stand and show off its contents so aren't easel cards just the best ever.  I used Regal Rose as my card base then I punched on the Regal Rose, white and Pretty in Pink with the new SU border punch.  I used MS butterfly punch for my butterflies on the inside and a Regal Rose ribbon.  I bought the flower at the bargain bin at Michael's.

Now for the news, starting today its only 30 days till my First Blog anniversary, wow how quickly the year flew by.    Each day I will tantaze you with one item from the Blog Candy package worth $215.00.  30 Days 30 items all to one winner now here's the twist; You must be a follower of my blog to win an you need to leave a comment each day.   On May 18 I will use the True Random Number Service to choose a day 1-30 and a followers number.   If you added a comment on the day picked and your the chosen number you'll win the whole kit and caboodle.

What have you been up to?

Well I have been busy I made a bunch of cards. Some are easy peasy cards with Creative Memories sticks, laser cuts, Suzie Zoo cards, recycled cards and my birthday cards. Right now I have 68 cards for OWH this month and 5 handwritten thank you card but I have two weeks to finish the other 32.
I found these cute Creative memories stickers and thought they would be darling for some Fathers day cards. They were quick to make and I think Creative Memories make the most amazing stickers.

Here is a close up of one of the cards, look at the nails for corner icons, wish I could get a close up of them they are so cute.
I'll be back later with some surprise info so stay tuned in!

Paper Creations

Well I got to play a little today and I got my glossy paper out. I used my SU classic stamp pads and just pulled them over the paper, then I took some alcohol swabs and pulled it across the paper. It really looks a lot prettier in person than this photo shows it, and have you ever noticed how taking a picture shows all the flaws? I would have sworn I had 1/4 inch on each side of the inchies but it sure shows different in this picture.
This is the same concept except I used a rainbow stamp pad. I added some orange ribbon to match the Only Orange SU card stock added a huge flower and one of the SAB's from SU this year for the center of the flower.
Ok so off I go to get some sleep but I'll be back with more cards tomorrow.

OWH, A real Patroit!

I just couldn't help but put these three cards together today.

I'm a really patriot person, I cry singing the National Anthem, seeing a soldier brings tears to my eyes, I have an American Flag on my back window of my Jeep and I fly a flag at home. When 911 happened I bought a ring that had red white and blue stones in it like the flag said I would wear it until our soldiers came home.
I colored these images with Copic's, used SU Night of Navy card stock and some cheap Dollar store DSP, layered and layered, some ribbon from Michael's. I found these laser die cuts that I bought when I went to Making Memories Convention in 1993 so I don't have a clue who makes them but they are beautiful. With each bundle of cards I send to OWH I always hand write Thank you notes to say a special thanks so I used my new Star stamp that I bought for a dollar at 'Tuesday Morning' and a SU Thank you stamp.
I did use my Deer punch but those will be tomorrow, all together I made nine cards today. I know I said that Saturday I would post with all my treasures but since it was so beautiful yesterday I mowed the lawn then weed eated the channel, then took the push mower to finish the ditches. I was fine until I finished and sat down with a big diet coke, then I could barely get up to take a shower.
Have a great night, God Bless.

Chocolate & Stamping....Yum

I love to make cards and the more unique the better. I also love Hershey kisses but especially Mom loves them. She's 91 and weighs about that so she can eat all the Kisses she wants and doesn't gain a pound, by the way she found her teeth yesterday! (See my last post.) Anyway I was looking at this bag and just hit on how cute those kisses would look on a card so I took the empty bag roughly cut the images out glued them on some cardstock then stuck a real Hershey Kiss ribbon on the top and what a darling little card.

My card is SU White card stock with scrap paper a couple MS punch butterflies and what a cute card. You don't have to have stamps to always make your cards. Check out the next one............. These next two cards are made with a media flyer I received in the mail from Copenhaven. I don't chew and nobody here does but somehow I got this flyer and I loved the beautiful shining pictures. The light bulb went off and I thought of how hard it is to make masculine cards so I got my Marvy 2 1/2 inch circle and punched away. I actually got 7 circles out of the flyer so I could make 7 cards for my 'Operation Write Home' project. I used SU Chocolate chip for my base then I added Karen Foster Travel DSP added some twine rope and I had some really cute cards.
All I'm saying is you don't have to use stamps for every card look around and see what you can find. Most people say isn't it an expensive hobby, and I usually say "It can be but not always". My next one was super easy and it helps out one of my favorite charity.
This card I used an envelope that I received from the Humane Society. I grabbed my 1'' square punch and punched out some cute little faces. Then I took a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inch size card pulled out my Scor-Pal and scored some lines on the front of my card. Then I layered the kitty faces on some scrap paper mounted them on the cardstock added a salutation and I was done with some quick, unique, darling cards that are one of a kind literally.
Have a great day and a super week.
God Bless,
Jeanine

Easter Egg Hunt

What a beautiful day, family, good food, lots of love and a wonderful way to Thank God for all my many blessings. I made this cutie card yesterday and had planned to post it this morning but things got in the way. It's made with SNS digi stamp and some MM DSP. I love layers so this was fun with the MS border punches and Copic's.

Now my question did you have an Easter Egg Hunt today? Have I got a story for you..............We were invited to my daughter Vicki's home today for Easter dinner I took Mom and we drove over at 3PM. I helped make the sweet potato casserole and we sat down to a glorious dinner. After cleaning up we all went in the living room and talked. Well on the way back from the little girls room we noticed Mom didn't have her teeth in. I said 'Mom did you forget your teeth at home?' (Mom's 91 an has dementia) She said yea I just noticed that! Well we all agreed she had her teeth in when we had dinner otherwise she couldn't have ate the ham, broccoli or rolls. We didn't have a Easter Egg Hunt we had a False teeth Hunt. Goodness we looked everywhere, we were stumped and just couldn't figure it out. Poor Allen dug everything out of the garbage thinking she might have thrown them out by mistake, we questioned her and searched the house, backyard, wherever she suggested even though we knew she wasn't in the backyard. We went through all the left overs, then finally I had to do the dreaded......we thought she might have rinsed her teeth after dinner and dropped them in the toilet. Well all I can say is the hunt was on and the pipe was way to small for the teeth to go through it. I decided after an hour of hunting and alot of frustration we headed home to see if she had forgotten to put them in although the three of us would have sworn she had to have them to eat with. Well its 10 PM I've hunted the house and Vicki did up all the dishes, re-searched the garbage and Allen checked the toilet again and guess what??? Mom went to bed without her teeth, but then she never missed them to begin with. Yep I count my blessings every morning and every night and then I thank the Lord for everything. Hope your hunt was better than mine. God Bless,
Jeanine

Easter Time

I love this Cross its from Gina K designs and I've had it for a couple years. I simply embossed it in silver on white card stock then I layered it with Silver then Going Gray SU card stock. I used black eyelets and black grosgrain stitched ribbon then layered Madeline DSP on Silver again a little more DSP and then black card stock. I love lots of layers.
On the inside I used a couple of scraps I had left over from the front so I layered them on white card stock and then stamped the beautiful Verse from John 11:25-26. This card is so simply stamped but so elegant.
The weather was 82 here today and absolutely beautiful just like yesterday when I spent the afternoon outside weed eating and mowing and receiving my first sun burn on the back on my neck, I never sunburn but I didn't put on sunblock either, Stupid me!
God Bless you.
