Missing "You"

Everyone knows I love making cards so my friend in Georgia always sends me lots of Whipper Snapper images colored for quick card making. It sure helps me to have them colored then all I have to do it match up the card stock and I'm in business. I try to make 100 cards a month for 'Operation Write Home' and I know that they always need cards for Miss You, Kids cards and birthday cards.
Well after making 18 cards today you can't imagine my surprise when I saw the Hero's blog challenge for 'Miss you' cards. My cheater suggestions for making these cards.........I use DCWV boxed card and envelopes that way the inside is white and the soldiers can write home on white better than colored card stock. I also try to line up my DSP an card stock to my images then sit down to make up my cards. I'm a very patriotic person and since I can't serve my country my way to 'Pay it Forward' is to make cards and support the troops overseas, I'm proud of the cards I make and send off. I use to do alot of swaps but I haven't found a good one lately so if anyone knows of one let me know, I miss the card swaps.
So for now I wish you all a very Happy New Year!

Wish Big

Here's another 'Wish Big' digital image from Deedee's Digi's. I think these are so perfect for birthdays. You can dress them up like this or use juvenile paper for kid cards. The lace I got along time ago and haven't seen anymore like it although I'm out of it now. I love the pearl gems it really adds alot to the cards.
Now everyone have a great week and I'll catch you on New Year's Eve with more card ideas. Remember to 'Pay it Forward'.
God Bless,

Those eyes!

I have a suggestion for the Digital artists, when you save a digi or sell a digi save it with your initials or name. That way we will know who the digi belongs to. When I download digi files I download them into special folders named Deedee's, Dustin's, Doodle Pantry, Meljen that way I can give credit when credit is due! I love the kitty in this image but I don't know who its from, I used DCWV card stock, colored my image with Copic's, SU Old Olive silk ribbon and a SU medallion and salutation.
Four days till 2010 is gone and we start a whole new year. What have you got planned? Where are you going? Who will you impress, what good will you do for your world? I'd love to hear your plans.
Remember to 'Pay it Forward'.
Stampin hugs,

'Jesus is the Reason for the Season' this image is from Doodle Pantry and it says it all. Thank you Laurie for your amazing designs.
We have 5 inches of Snow and its still coming down fast! This is the first time in over 20 years the Chattanooga area has had a White Christmas. It's quite beautiful and put a halt to our Christmas gathering but hey it's gives us the perfect chance to comtemplate
' The Reason for the Season'.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Big Wishes & a fond farewell

I love this digital set from Deedee's digi's 'Wish Big'. It comes with 2 images and 2 salutations for $3.00. It's a fun digital set, one of over 140 sets that Deedee has designed. I had the pleasure to served 2 terms on Deedee's design team, but now its time for me to step down at the end of the month and let someone else design with a fantastic designer Deedee and the design team. I've had a wonderful time and learned so much about blogging and designing.
Each one of the girls are multi-talented with wonderful suggestions and ideas that they share. I enjoyed working with each and everyone of them. I might have been the oldest on the team but they each treated me as an equal and for that I am blessed. Deedee is one in a million, I thank you Deedee for the honor of serving on your design team. My best wishes to each and everyone of you for a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
God Bless you all.

Back on my feet!

You know I love helping others, I love making cards and I especially love the feeling of being needed. So after a few days of feeling sorry for myself, I've regrouped and I will remember that I have a blessed life. God has given me many wonderful days, two beautiful daughters, 7 wonderful grand children and a gift of giving. For all that I am grateful and I will cherish my blessings along with living each day to the best that I can thanks to the good Lord God Almighty.
So I have made about 25 cards in the past few days with all the images I have colored. Today I feature the images of Doodle Pantry, I so love Laurie's images and she actually created the Crosses from a request of mine. So I enjoyed making all these Doodle Pantry cards to send to the troops at "Operation Write Home"
I used SU cardstock on all the cards and
several different DSP from DCWV, SU Welcome Neighbor, Nana's Nursery, and
of coarse brads, pearls, ribbons and punches
that I just love. Stay tuned for many more cards that I just can't wait to show you.
As for Christmas, well the real spirit of Christmas is with me always but as far as family well with all the miles between us and my daughter here in Tennessee we'll see each other to exchange gifts but she's chosen not to have Christmas dinner this year guess she's in the same depression that I am but hey I'll get through this and come out stronger for it. I plan to get my house in order and sell it, then I'll become a gyspy because I have no roots anymore nor anyone that needs me nor wants me around.
Merry Christmas everyone, have a wonderful holiday oh and as I always say 'Pay it Forward' and you will be rewarded.

Merry Christmas

I sincerely wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2011.  Until further notice I am taking a break from card making, hobbies, crafting, etc.  I find that I am in a very dark place and I fight each day to come out, sometimes I don't even make it out.  I will fulfill my commitments this week then I'm going to struggle hard to find myself.  I use to love Christmas but now I dread it, I put on a front so no one knows but who or why am I kidding anyone?   It's a lonely time of the year for those alone and for those with close knit families its a fun gathering of loved ones.  My family was never close knit so I wasn't a part of that but I saw it and dreamed I could bring my girls to that, it didn't happen.  I've always suffered from depression and this year it's ten times worse than ever before, so instead of inflicting bah humbug emotions I'll just bow out.  I have some soul searching to do and some deep cleaning so thank you all for your well wishes
Merry Christmas!

Everlasting Light

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!  I love candles so this candle image from SNS, designed by  Leah Cornelius is perfect for alot of my Christmas cards this year.   I bought these cute red cards years ago and found them the other day so other than coloring the image with Copic's then matting the digital image I didn't do much but add a snowflake.  The Snowflake is my big find at Dollar Tree they are called Darice and their found in the Christmas decorations.  These glitter ornaments come 12 in a package for a buck can you beat a deal like that?
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
God Bless,

More Christmas

I have so much fun making the SU Top Note quilt and this one was no different.  I used an assortment of papers for this SU Gold and DCWV, I used scraps of paper that I ran through the cuddlebug.  Then I added Tilda whom I colored with Copic's added two metal embellishments and I was done.

The Blog Hop winner for my blog is Glitterbabe (Steph H) if you will contact Deedee at amiste@sonic.net she will get your gift out to you immediately.

I took a bad fall last night and am not moving to well right now.  I'm doing tons of bed rest and water hopefully I'll feel great when I leave for Arizona on Saturday.  Have a wonderful week.

'It's better to give than receive'

Welcome to the Blog Hop where I promise you will see some of the cutest ideas, greatest cards and projects all with digitals from Deedee's Digi's.  I'm so proud to be a part of this design team and to call each one of the girls friend.   My first project is 'Magic Reindeer Food',  I made up the topper using white confetti cardstock printed my verse then ran the cardstock back through the printer to print the image.  I colored the image with Copic's and then attached a pre-made snowflake.  The Reindeer Food is  oatmeal, some cookie decorations and glitter.   I never had much luck with sprinkling it in Arizona the ground was quite dry and Phoenix had little snow but I think it would be adorable to make markings in the snow and watch the glow on little childrens faces when they discover reindeer prints in the snow.
My second project is just plain fun for co-workers, neighbors, brother, sister.  It's snowmen poop!  Actually its mini marshmellows and I printed off the verse first on white cardstock, then I ran it back through the printer and printed the Snowman.  Then I colored my favorite snowman from Deedee's Digi's with Copic's.  These are also great ideas for Craft Fairs, I usually sell 30-40 of each.
If this is your first stop on the hop, be sure to visit Crafting with Deedee's Digis at http://www.deedeesdigis.blogspot.com/, where you will find the directions for the hop, an a chance to win the grand prize of a $15 credit to the store, AND a little gift for you!

Magnolia Christmas

I received this Magnolia image from Sandy a year back and decided to color (Copic's) all of them up and use them for my Christmas cards this year.  With all my family and stamping friends I'll be making about 50 cards this year.  I'm trying to use up all my SU retired stuff but Christmas makes it hard since I usually play with the traditional Christmas colors.

This Magnolia is one Real Red card stock from SU with a Kraft color cut out with the Top Note die from SU I colored everything with Copics.   I sprayed the card with Spritzer from Ellen Hutson's.  The Merry Christmas is a eyelet that a got at Michael's last year, a gold star for the top of the tree, some blue snowflakes from Paper Wishes and the red beads heck fire I don't even
remember.  I think all together I made 6 of these cards but each was different in some way or another.  I still have about 20 cards to make and then I plan to start addressing the envelopes within a few days.  I hope you enjoyed my cards today and will come back on Friday to join us on Deedee's Blog Hop.
See you all on Friday, God Bless.

Candle light

This is such a pretty reflection of Christmas, it's like your bringing light to Christmas and in this day and age so many have lost the real meaning of Christmas.  Hopefully this year with the economy the way it is people will realize that Christmas isn't about the gifts it's about what happened on Christmas Eve so many years ago.
I made this card using Chocolate Chip card stock as my base and using DSP to mat the actual image on the card.  I used my Spellbinder dies to cut out the image and then used ribbon from Ellen Hutsons and some sequin ribbon from Hobby Lobby.  Deedee has some beautiful Christmas images and lovely verses or salutations to go with so many of her digital images.  She has over 125 sets available at her online store at
Digitals are so versatile to work with as you can change the size to fit scrap booking, small gift cards or the large 6 X 6 cards.
I hope that you will take the time to realize what or who Christmas is all about.  I don't mean to step on anyone's toes or religion but I do believe if we got back to the basic's maybe we would have that perfect world we all want.  Have a great Sunday.
God Bless,

Boobs & Bras

I bought this set last month during Breast Cancer Awareness month but I believe just because October is over you should stop thinking about women and breast cancer.  This adorable set is from Skipping Stone Designs and I have sent many a card out and receives tons of laughs.  I used SU card stock and DSP glitter paper for the front.  I used SU border punch and their Lacy ribbon which I just love.  I'm going to see how it dies today since I have the whole day to play.
The inside of the card I decorated with the some scrap papers and then added the verse 'They don't care if you're a boob!' Such humor I have I know but I do want them to find the cure to breast cancer and all cancer before I die.  I think its so important especially for our kids, grand kids and all mankind.

Personal journey:  It's been a while since a took a minute to chatter and I have a few things I want to say.  First off thank you Becky for the beautiful card and letter I was extremely touched by what you said.  Secondly I'm slowing trying to except the fact that Mom will never except me nor give me a kind or gentle word, I lived with that since I was a teenager and it will never be resolved.  Once again I've learned that as much as I love my Mother I don't have to like her for all the pain she brought my sister and I.   Charles finally arrived Thursday night after having engine problems and spending boo coo bucks to get the car fixed.  He brought with him Michael his companion and Harry the dog.  Harry is just a year old and wild as can be, being he's still a puppy.   Michael makes Barby dolls into brides, princess's, stunning beautiful dolls.  He hand makes clothes from the inside panties and bra to the gowns, the floral bouquets, jewelery, tiara's or hats and they are breath taking.   Charles is my brother (in law)  an has been for over 50 years.   He was always there for me growing up and he took the best care of my sister Marguerite for 49 years of marriage.   He is so smart and handy, he can figure out how to do anything.  His wisdom is amazing and he is the most gentle spirit I know.   He brought me my sister's Mustard Seed necklace and I will treasure it forever along with this I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,
'Move from Here to There and it will move.  Matthew 17:20
Have a wonderful weekend, God Bless,

Christmas Reindeer

I love this Reindeer stamp from SU, I bought it last year and didn't get to use it but this year I pulled it out to make a few Christmas cards to mail out.   I used SU everything card stock, DSP, lace ribbon, embossing powder and versamark ink.   The ornaments were hanging around and I thought they would look great on this card.
The second and third card are again SU except I used green embossing powder to match the card stock and DSP.  I used brads to anchor the matting but I love this lace from SU and it makes such a cute bow.
I used my Scor-Buddy on this card and can't say enough about the detail it brings to a card.  I  use my Scor-Buddy everyday and I must say it is one of my best purchases.  I tattered the edges of the DSP then matted the Handsome Hunter and white on the card.  I used rhinestones to highlight the corners of this last card and enjoyed making all three of these cards.

My brother in law was suppose to arrive on Sunday night but they had car troubles and $1000 and 3 nights later he is back on the road and heading here.  So if I'm a little quiet in the next few days its because I have company.   I will be working on my Blog hop project in the next few days.  Hope all of you will join us when Deedee's Digi's has a great Hop on November 19th.  Until then remember to 'Play it forward'.  Have a great rest of the week.

Little Inchies for Christmas

I love making Inchies, its a great way to use scraps and still its easy to put a card together.   These Inchies are actually stickers that I've had forever.  I used SU cardstock and DCWV DSP.
I used a Spritzer of white on the green card but it only shows up at the top.  The red ribbon is from SU and I'm finally making time to make my Christmas cards.  I was busy trying to finish up my 100 cards for the OWH group, if you notice on my sidebar there is a button for helping OWH.  The group is trying to win $50,000 from Joanne's, it sure would help to pay for postage to these soldiers and help out with all the other costly expenses OWH has.  Please try to vote everyday and help out Operation Write Home, one great way to show your support to the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom.
Have a great day and remember to 'Pay it Forward'.  God Bless,

SU Playday Projects

Yesterday was my afternoon of fun with Brenda my SU friend and Consultant we made 3 really cute cards and a ornament.   My first card was suppose to be Vintage looking but I got a little heavy handed on the ink and sponge. The stamp set is SU Bells & Boughs and we used the SU colored pens.  The ribbon is the new seam binding ribbon from SU, actually I don't like it but that's just my choice.  All the cards are made with SU products and SU stamp pads.
This Noel card is made with two SU stamp sets and those pretty pearls, wow they just pop that ornament off the card.  I have so much fun when I go to Stampin UP!  Playday, Brenda is such a hoot and she always keeps you laughing and entertained.
This ornament is made with the new SU 2 1/2 inch circle punch and 8 circles punched out of DSP.  This ornament was a challenge for all of us but I think if you made a few it would come easier it didn't go very easy the first time though.  If anyone is interested in the pattern email me privately and I'll send you some instructions.
Have a good week and know I think your are great!!!

Special little gifts

Is this just the cutest little reindeer you've ever seen?  I'm on the design team for Deedee's digi's and she has made some wonderful Christmas images.   I just love digital images, you can make them any size you want or need.  I used SU cardstock 12 X 4 inches.  I scored the card stock at 4 and 8 inches and used my bone folder to make crisp edges.   I cut the end on the diagonal and then decorated the card.
On the inside you can write a thank you note and decorate any way you'd like.  I used gourmet coffee packs and put a reindeer sticker on the inside. These would be great for teachers, co-workers, neighbors, card club members or just make some and when your shopping hand them out to the person that looks the most stressed.

This red card is also a digital from Deedee's digitals and I shrunk to an inchie size and matted it and mounted it on SU card stock.  I colored all of the digitals with Copic's.  I attached a ribbon in the back with ribbon glue and tied a bow to hold it together.  I added mini gems to perk it up a little oh the red samples are 3 X 3 when done so I used a piece of cardstock 3 X 9 and scored it at 3 and 6 inches.   These are so super simple to make and you can use
tea bags, candy, drink packets the ideas are endless.  I hope this helps some of you that are trying to figure out what to do for that special someone.  Remember its the thought that counts and in these times that's the most important thing to remember.
God Bless,

Happy Freezin season!

I love these snowmen from SU, I actually messed up and punched out the wrong circle so my pop up circle doesn't show very well.  I colored my snowmen with Copic's and used a saying from Deedee's digi's.  I made 50 cards for Operation Write Home with Snowmen yesterday and today.  I had pre-colored the images and put them together today.  The time limit for Christmas cards are over but I really don't make many Christmas cards or Thanksgiving cards because I make mostly 'Thinking of You', 'I miss you Son', 'I miss you Princess',  'Thoughts of you', 'Happy Birthday', 'Miss You'.   As a matter of fact OWH has asked that we notify of friends that they are working on Valentine's Day cards now.  I just can't do that since I haven't seen Thanksgiving yet let alone Christmas.  So I just keep making these 'Thoughts of you' or 'Missing You cards'.  Most of my cards are a white base so that they can write inside the card with a pencil which is usually the only writing instrument they have.  If I make the card a dark color I insert a white piece of paper inside the card 5 1/4 X 4 so the soldiers can write on it.  They totally prefer no salutation inside the card because they want to use it for writing home.   I still have about 23 cards to make to finish my quota for the month with OWH then I'll start on my personal Christmas cards to mail out the first of December.  So the week is new and I need to work on a few special cards, here's wishing you all a wonderful week.
God Bless,

Give Thanks

Deedee's digi challenge for the week was do a card with leaves, I actually made this card on Wednesday but forgot to post it.  I used SU card stock, the leaf DSP is from The Paper Studio and the two metal leaves in the circle I put embossing powder on because I didn't like the aluminum look.  I then used Spellbinder dies to cut a scallop leaf paper oval to mat to my verse from Deedee's digitals.  I'm trying really hard to get with the program just don't feel much like stamping.  Gosh what in the world is wrong with me?  I can't imagine not stamping and making cards but thats really what's going on in my mind.  OK its the weekend so have a great weekend and I catch you later!
God Bless,

Thanksgiving Blessing

I love to use Verses on my cards, they can be used for so many occasions.  This card is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 Kraft CS from SU then I used DCWV La Creme DSP it has flocked flowers so I didn't feel the need use ribbons.  I did use silver card stock too mat the sentiment and pearls on the flowers for dimention.  I love this DSP it has beiges, blacks, whites and several sheets have flocking also.

Journal Time:  It's been a few days since I've written how I'm feeling and I should be better but I'm not.  Shame on me it's just that I want to start visiting my friends, I want to do some traveling, I asked my Grandson to go to Hogwarts in Florida.  But I get up each morning and my get up an go is gone!  Oh I go to my Studio and make some cards or read a book but I just don't go out to shop or go for dinner.  I need someone to push me, get me going I think I need to check out the Senior Circle which I promised to do last month and never did.
Mom is doing well at Moraa's Place she's been in there for almost 3 months but she still asks me to bring her home for a few days.  She gets tired of sitting around so she an Agnes go for walks each day.  A walk to her is about 300 feet and back to the chair.  Usually I stay about 45 minutes to an hour and then she tells me its time to go and walks me to my car.  I try to visit twice a week and today I heard that my brother in law is coming to visit for a couple of days the first week of November, Mom will enjoy Charles visit she always adored him.  Well its not quite 10 PM but I've got dishes to do and I think I'll take my shower tonight.  I hope you all have a great weekend and that you get some stamping in.

Hang in there!

Skipping Stone Designs made this adorable stamp set and I couldn't wait to color the image to make a card for 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month'.  Yes I had to change the colors around a little bit to fit in with the pumpkin paper from The Paper Studio, All over pumpkins DSP.  I used Spellbinder dies for the background of my bra and the ribbon is SU.  Cute quick and so adorable to help support 'Breast Cancer', let's not forget this horrible disease.
                      Have a wonderful night!

Just Chillin

Today was a lazy day we had a storm come through here last night and I have never heard thunder like last night. The lightening was amazing and I didn't get much sleep but it sure was a wild storm. Today I went down to my Studio and decided to pull out some images I pre-colored in San Antonio. The card stock is SU, the DSP is also from SU and I love it with all the sparkles. The image is from Deedee's digi's called 'Just Chillin' and there are 4 or 5 sayings that go with it, it's so cute. I used a Spellbinder to cut it out layer it and SU satin ribbon, but my Snowflake is from the Dollar Store, I got a pack of 12 for 99 cents and they are so pretty, they are actually ornaments so I just cut the string from it and glued it to the ribbon.  Such a quick and easy card.
Have a great day everyone!

Halloween Magnolia

I love coloring images and these Magnolia's were sent to me by a friend, I've saved them for almost a year to use at Halloween.  I used SU card stock and cut it 5 1/2 by 5 1/2.  I used some Halloween DSP and put orange rick rack around the distressed edges.  I had a pumpkin brad to add a little extra.  Then I cut out closely around the magnolia's and used pop dots to place them on the paper.  Easy peasy card, I'm still reeling from my trip to San Antonio and my previous post.  I just want to pinch myself every ten minutes expecting to wake up from a dream.  Today I sat outside in the sun testing, testing, testing, eventually I'll believe it but until then I'll be pinching myself alot!!!!
Remember to 'Pay it Forward' and remember God's many blessings.

Blushing, Raynaud or Hyperhidrous

Girls,
I'm back from San Antonio and I am a new woman!  I am so bless by God almighty in my life.   If you have followed my blog and know about my hyperhidrious you will know I had the procedure done on Wednesday and after 35 years I can go anywhere and do anything without worrying about having a bottle of frozen ice with me or a washcloth with ice cubes in it, or finding the coolest place in the store, or sticking my head in the freezer section to cool off.  This disease ruled my life for over 35 years and caused me to become a recluse in the summer time especially.   I couldn't walk up 5 steps without breaking into a sweat only on my head, it was like turning on a faucet at the top of my head and the water just poured down my face and neck causing my hair to be wet and people thinking I was having a heart attack or something else.  It crippled me into believing I was a freak,  I suffered and tried to explain to people what it was but they only saw the sweat pouring down my face and neck, causing my back to be wet.   God found me Dr. Nielson then he made it so my insurance paid for everything except the trip.  I knew it was the right thing because God showed me the way.  All day Wednesday after surgery I tested myself to make sure it really worked, I sat by the pool in the shade and it was 89 degrees, never once sweat a bit. I walked all around the Alamo but my COPD got the best of me and I only saw glimpses of the River-walk the humidity was 78%. I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely happy I am and many of you are saying geez she really is strange but if you could have seen me during one of these episodes you would totally understand.  It's a silent disease that will put you into a great depression, cause great mental anguish and cause you low self esteem.  With God and Dr. Nielson I'm am cured and for that I will constantly thank the Lord.   Hyperhydrious is rarely talked about many doctors don't even know what it is because most people as so embarrassed about it but it can be corrected if you know anyone that has sweating hands, feet or just constantly has a blushed face let them know to check out the Internet for Hyperhydrious it really will change their lives.  I was referred to Dr. Nielson and was told he was only one of five people to do this procedure it is totally amazing it took longer to prepare me for the surgery than it did to do the surgery and I only have two incisions 1/2 inches by my armpits.   I would love to become a spoke person for Hyperhidrous because it ruled my life and caused so much anguish for almost 40 years, if I can help one person with it I would in a heartbeat.
Deedee's Digi's is having a bloghop today so if you get a chance go over and say hi there is some nice blog candy up for grabs: http://www.deedeesdigis.blogspot.com/
OK now since I took my Copic's with I colored at least 50 images so I have a great little stash for cards, I'll head downstairs and whip up some cards to put on this blog.  Thank you all if your still with me reading this.  I cannot explain the true joy I am feeling right now, thank you God Almighty for this rich blessing.

Leafy Fall Sentiment

I love the Lord's Prayer so when I found this stamp I couldn't wait to ink it up.  This card was so simple to make using Inkadinkado leaf stamps using a kaleidoscope stamp pad.  Then I mounted the Lord's Prayer on SU Only Orange card stock, SU Certainly Celery satin ribbon and I was done.  So pretty yet quick and simple.
Journal Time:  Today I'm in San Antonio and I'm probably resting at the Inn.  The out patient surgery was less than 15 minutes but I'll be fine.  Your allowed to return to work, driving etc after 24 hours so when I race to the airport tomorrow and run to the terminal we'll see if this worked.  With 99% success rate I think I'll be dancing all the way to the plane.  I'll be home Thursday night in my own bed and this Hyperhydrious will be a thing of the past.  Thank you for taking this journey with me.
God Bless all of you!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Isn't this cute, you know me I love pink and this!  I wish I knew the name of this DSP I've had it for 2 years and didn't want to part with it.  Yea I sprung for a card but I still have a little more, the stamp set is from SU and I colored it with Copic's.  I'm trying to fine tune little images because I don't have patience to color them.  I wish the glitter pens would have shown up but hey I was having fun with all the punches and colors.  I figure my drawer is about ready to break with all the punches in it.  I need a Iris Cart to put all my border punches and square, circle, heart and heck fire I bet I have 100 punches some hung on the door with a shoe case and the others in the drawer.
Journal Time:  If you were tuned in last week you saw my post about Hyperhydrious, well by the time this posts I will be in San Antonio.  I flew in at 11AM rented a car and went sightseeing at the River Walk and the Gallery.  I'll see the doctor tomorrow but I'll go off my diet for the Tex-Mex food for sure!!!
Catch you all in a day or two!

Love of Jesus

I have a thing about Crosses and they are very hard to draw, I have suggested it to several designers and most say 'I just can't do it'.
So when Laurie over at Doodle Pantry did this set called 'Christ's Gift and notified me I was delighted she said it took her a while but as usual she came through.  You can see this set and many others at: http://www.doodlepantry.blogpost.com/

Laurie is a gifted artist and makes many realistic images for all of us to enjoy.  She is multi talented and like all digital artists she delights in satisfying her customers.   She also sells images that are already colored for those times when you need to get a card done fast.  I have been know to buy several of them so I can keep up with my 100 cards a month to the OWH soldiers.  If your looking for something to do with all your cards you've made OWH is always looking for great cards to send to the soldiers.  I would appreciate you sending them in to OWH can you guess how the girls at OWH would feel?  Remember to 'Pay it Forward'.  God's watching!
Have a great day!!

Manly Card

Hi everyone, been busy making cards for everyone to enjoy and I thought this one would be a good birthday card for a man.  The stamp set is from SU and the cardstock is SU textured that I put ridges on with my Scor-pal, then I ran it through the Big Shot with a Spellbinder die to cut out the center.  First time I did it and I was so proud of myself.  I have a hard time making and finding images to make a manly man card so when I borrowed the image from my SU friend in St. Louis I stamped a few of the wolf and several of the buffalo (which you'll see in a few days).  I did color the wolf with Copic's and gave him a blue eye.   I just love playing around with these new ideas jumping in my head.
Take care and have a good week.

Scripture

This is a card I made for Deedee's Crafting Blog Challenge.  She asked for scripture and embellishments.  I used one of her verses from 'Words of Thanksgiving' to decorate my card, you can find this set and over 100 other sets at: http://www.deedeesdigis.blogspot.com/  I used Spellbinder dies for the scallop oval and white oval, some beige ribbon and my daughters favorite dragonfly.  The card stock is Stampin Up and DCWV from HSN.  I love to make scripture cards because they are usually so elegant and they work for so many different types of cards.  I have to say I was thinking of Deedee when I made this card yesterday, Deedee lost her Grandmother on Saturday and all of us on the design team along with all of her friends send love and prayers her way in this extremely rough time.
Please remember to 'Pay it forward'

ANT Cookie's ?

Is this just plain cute, Laurie at Doodle Pantry has done it again with her joyful antic's (get it?)  I had so much fun coloring this image with Copic's then mounting it on SU Merry Moments DSP, I added a Chocolate chip layer and a polka dot layer with red rhinestones to high lite the card.  I mounted the whole card on Chocolate Chip card stock and added beige paper to the inside for writing.
When I make OWH cards I always add writing paper inside the card so if the soldiers have only a pencil to write with their writing will be clearly seen.  Most of the time I leave the inside blank with the exception of the writing paper because I want them to have plenty of space to write home.  I enjoy making cards of Thinking of you, Miss You, I love you, birthday cards and especially cards that the parents can use to write home to their children.  I usually use the salutation 'I miss you Princess' or 'I miss you buddy' but I just get burned out making Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards in the dead of Summer when we're roasting and I know lots of people really go gun hoe for making the holiday cards so I'll just stay with the cards I'm happy with and continue sending in 100 cards a month.

Journal Time:  I have a few more days to create before I pack up and leave Tennessee for a few days.  I am doing something I have wished and prayed for, for many years.  I think you've all heard me talk about my Hyperhydrious (sweating of the body profusely).  Well I have sweating on my scalp and blushing on my face, I have had this for 30 plus years and it's the most embarrassing thing.  I use to go out on calls in Phoenix and people would think I was going to faint or pass out.  I thought it was just the heat in Arizona at first but then it was happening anytime and anywhere for no special reason.  It would feel like someone had turned on a faucet on top of my head and water would just pour down my neck, face but yet I was cold and clammy to the touch.  People would rush up to me and ask if I was alright thinking I was having a heart attack or something.  The only way to stop it would be to get in front of a cold fan, ice to the neck & face.  I don't go shopping much, nor do I go out during the summer unless it is for food or something really special.  Yard work is a nightmare because I have have a towel to wipe the sweat so I can see where I'm going with the lawn mower.  Then about 4 years ago I hear a commercial about profuse sweating called Hyperhydrious and I called the physician in Chattanooga would was aware of it.  He was a thorastic surgeon and said he'd heard all the stories and prescribed pills, 3-4 a day and they didn't help a bit so I went back and he suggested botox.  Well I said no, first of all I love horses but not enough to inject horse urine into my head.  So I just suffered until I was told about the Hyperhydrious Clinic, to make a longer story short it was $9000 for the out patient surgery and insurance wouldn't cover it.  After 3 long months of talking sometimes not so nicely to Cigna they agreed to pay for everything and I was elated!!!  Woo Hoo I'm headed to San Antonio next Monday gonna have 2 days of sightseeing a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, out patient surgery on Wednesday, another post surgery appointment on Thursday and I'll return home Thursday afternoon ready to walk everywhere, shop, visit friends and just live life sweat free.   So God does answer prayers he just waits for the right time to do it.  I've prayed over this for months and with everything paid for I'm ecstatic so I'll be busy for the next 2 weeks making plans and traveling but I'll be back 100% happier.   Sorry I unloaded on you if your still reading I love you and I just had to share.
God Bless,

Stampin Up Playday

This has to be my favorite card that we made, Brenda had us folding card stock and using a brayer and then she just had to use the new SU Glitter and ribbon.  What a wow card!
On this SU card we used the embossing folder Snowflakes then sponged on white craft ink, added some SU Pearls, added a greeting and waaaa laaaa it was all done.  We got started a little late admiring her beautiful new wood floors but she had wonderful fast cards to make and we were done almost on time.
We made another card for Thanksgiving but I must have left mine there because I sure can't find it.  This was one we sponged on the moon then stamped over it with the SU set Three Wise Men, we added a rhinestone to the star and again done.  Now I should have flipped over my card and re stamped the camels because I didn't get a good image but hey I was thrilled to be back in the groove and my Mojo was beginning to flow.  All three of the cards were produced with all Stampin UP products and as usual we had some great fellowship for a few hours.   Thank you Brenda for putting up with us and glitter all over the table.
God Bless,
