To warm for Cocoa

The weather here has been so beautiful I've just been hangin out on my new sun room reading James Patterson books. I think I've read about 25 in the past two months. I get into spurts where I read all the time then I finish a book and I'm done reading for a few weeks or even months. I have been busy with my grandson Ryan as he's making a 8 inch scrapbook for his girlfriends birthday, so I gather everything for the page and he puts it all together so he really can say he made it. It's so fun to have the grandkids over here even if they are 22 and 20. I missed so much of their childhood sometimes its hard to connect but when we do its so much fun.
I made the card above last Monday while cleaning up the Studio, heck all I did was stack stuff on the floor to clear a place for Ry to sit but it made me want to make a card since I have about 100 colored images and probably 500 uncolored images just waiting to be used. I used K & Company brown paper, sponged on the cup ran a piece of cardstock thru the (do you ever have one of those moments where your mind goes blank as to what you used?) Brayer to ripple the heat protector and added some cute ribbon I've had for at least 5 years. Anyway I'll be down in the studio working for the next few days making more pages for Ry to work on when his next day off comes around.
Take care and have a great week hopefully I'll remember to check in again real soon with pictures of the album. Hugs, Jeanine

Pretty Springtime

Yep one day you think spring is here and the next you think it's winter. This is super simple card I used scraps of paper to form the background paper then used my Hot Shot to make scallop mats for my image. I've had this image forever and although I try to label my images to give credit to the artist sometimes old and stupid combine and I forget.
Image number two is all colored in Copics like the first but I used some punches and premade swirl pearls. Very simple no real card pattern just using up some of the hundreds of images I have.
Have a great weekend and remember to smile, it really makes em wonder what your up too! Hugs, Jeanine

Feline Groovy

Yep I'm feelin groovy, better than I have in a while. I went down into the dungeon this morning and whipped up a few cards to entertain you. It just amazes me how if I sit down with a image in hand how quickly I can put a card together. My 'Feline Groovy' card is made with SU scraps and a few Copic colors, SU pearls and a little circle to pop the card. I did make a couple other cards but blogger isn't cooperating with me today so hopefully things will be better in the morning.
Thanks for stoppin by, hugs, Jeanine

Cupcake Fever

The funny thing is I'm not a fan of cupcakes, their hard to eat politely and I'd much rather have a big piece of cake......but cupcakes are really
cute so who can resist making such cute cards for birthdays? The stamp set I used for these cards are Inky Antics Cupcake Birdie Honey Pop Set, then I used their Honeycomb paper for the little treat inside of the card. Also I used Stampin Up basic Pearls on the front.
I colored everything with Copics and then put it together. It actually was very easy to make and has such an impact when you open the card.
Hope you like my creation and let me know it.
As for me well I have been a busy camper lately with doctor appointments, reading, selling stamp sets on Lista and hassling with all the postage and such. I'm also cleaning out closets and the basement so I can downsize. Mostly I'm just donating stuff to the Goodwill or retirement center craft rooms, I'm just done with the clutter. I want to get to the point where I have enough clothes to last two weeks, shoes, and of coarse purses to make a very casual outfit because I'm very casual all the time. Then I want my card making stuff and that's it. Minimum furniture and stuff to go through after I'm gone. I have been looking for carpet, counter-tops and I'm still waiting on the french drain guy but then this old house will be ready for the market and then its a toss up what I'll do. Right now I'm gathering stuff for my taxes so much happened last year and I don't know about all the rebates, house damage and inheritance taxes so I'm going to the big guy for help. Needless to say I'm spinning around and have lists everywhere of things to do and when to do them. Geez its just mind boggling.
Have a great week, hugs, Jeanine

Hang in there gang!!!

Just a quick note to let you know my email was hacked last week and I have been trying to get this mess fixed up. I have Chart.com but I kept my email address at Bellsouth.net so I had to deal with both companies. What a mess and I lost all my contacts and favorite sites. Needless to say I spent the last week changing passwords and looking for things so I haven't been anywhere near the Studio but I'm free all day tomorrow I have the dishes, laundry and stamp sales all caught up, I'm done selling on Lista but that's another story.
I will have a card or two for you tomorrow I promise and if you want to help me out send a email to me so I'll have your email address in my contacts again.
Thanks for checking in even if I've been a nut case lately!
Hugs,
Jeanine

The Naked Cowboy

Now my travel partner might not like this picture (she in the right corner) but I was going over my photo's of New York City and I was cropping them so I could get them sent off for developing when I found this picture and I still don't believe no-one in our group of 52 noticed him until I discovered this picture. It was rainy and cold and we were in Time Square that very first night and I was so mesmerized I was just spinning around and taking pictures like crazy. Who would have thunk the Naked Cowboy would show his back to us. I still can't believe I got to see New York again and fulfill a long dream of returning there. I no this has nothing to do with crafting but hey it's the weekend so I'm just relaxing. I planned to head downstairs today but it keeps snowing on and off so I'm planted by the window watching God's miracles at work.
Have a wonderful weekend and remember your blessings. Jeanine

More Scrapbook Pages

Well I have a few more scrapbook pages to show you that I finished and mailed off to Cammie on Monday. I haven't heard from her yet and
actually I'm getting a little nervous since I haven't heard from her.
Anyway I'm really proud of the pages and hope that she loves them also.
So what are your plans for the weekend? Planning on doing something really special or just hanging out, I've heard from several of my friends how they plan to go away for the weekend as a early Valentine gift, we'll I never got lucky enough to find that special someone to love forever and ever but I know love and I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Jeanine

New Day

I've been quite busy making 2 page layouts for a lady in Iowa. She saw my greeting cards and asked if I could do scrapbook pages. Since thats how I got started some 10 years ago with my friend doing Creating Memories. I agreed to make a few and then had so much fun I didn't want to quit. I'm really lucky that I just have to pick a color palette and the ideas start coming. The first layout is a communion , then I moved
on to a couple of Christmas pages. I actually am doing pages for two young ladies that are 12 and 6 one is sportz the other a princess.Needless to say I have been really busy making layouts and just mailed them off on Monday. I can't wait to hear from Cammie and see why she
thinks of my ideas. Hopefully she'll love them and I'll be thrilled.
Other than working on these (I'll post more tomorrow) I've been doing alot of reading James Patterson. I've been averaging 4 books a week and selling stamp sets on Lista. Hopefully in the next few months I'll have weather for garage sales and I'll get all this stuff moved out of here. I'd love to sell the house and move to an apartment or loft that I don't have to worry about yard work. That way when I take a trip I don't have to worry about leaving the house empty. Well I need to get some cleaning and laundry done so keep smiling it sure makes people wonder.
Hugs,
Jeanine

Another Day

This is an image from Doodle Pantry call Noah's Ark geez would have guessed it. I think Doodle Pantry is my favorite place to look for digital images, their realiztic yet adorable. I'm trying to use up tons of my stuff so I can get rid of goodies and buy some new stamps, actually I'm thinking about going into Stampin UP again since I always liked the concept of having a full stamp set to work with. So if you want to go to Lista under Arts & Crafts I am putting up about 30 of my old retired SU set for points. If you want to set up and account I'll give you points to start bidding just ask me for an invite and I'll set you up.
Now I need to go and list some more auction closes Sunday night!
Hugs,
Jeanine

No excuses!

I've been bad and I have no excuse. For a long time I was feeling pretty lost and Christmas usually does that to me, I know I should be happy but I just couldn't get there this year and therefore I shut down and now I'm trying to climb out. When I feel like I'm needed or even wanted I know I can go on I just feel so sad to think what is happening to Christmas and our relationship with God. I won't get on a bandwagon, I believe that you choose your own faith and believe to me Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran or Buddhism is believing in one God.
Wow that was prolific now just shut my mouth and go on I say.
I am slowing working my way down to the studio I'm just buried in there with papers and punches and everything else so I started getting rid of alot of stuff on Lista. I wanted to have a garage sale this past fall but due to construction and weather I never got around to it so instead of waiting I have been doing some cleaning up through Lista.com check it out and tell em I sent ya.
I've been working on scrapbooks since the middle of January and having fun but I really need to purge some stuff and donate it to the nursing home for craft projects. Well I'll be back with more cards and goodies and I promise to start working harder to be social.
Hugs, Jeanine
