Roses, Roses, Roses

Today I got back to the Studio and packed up Granny Charlotte's Blog Candy, then I sat down and decided it was time I tried those Roses and re-inkers.  As you can see I love pink so that was the majority of roses I made.  Now I have to be honest I have a little artist dish and I put pinks in without writing it down the colors.  I think with a lot of practice I could make these gorgeous like the other girls do but I didn't have much luck with the puddles of water and then touching the re-inker with a water brush.

I had alot of fun with this, I used SU card stock and the stamp set Fifth Avenue Floral, I stamped the rose on the card stock and then added a leaf and layered the watercolor rose.  Then I added a butterfly that Karen sent me from SU, I added ribbon and mini gems to make a simply card beautiful.

I'd like to know if I've been black balled from the blog list or what?  I am totally in awe that I offered a $200 blog candy and only had 19 ladies enter for that drawing.  Now I offer a second chance Spellbinders Rectangle dies and still it seems that somethings wrong.  I'm getting over 100 hits a day since I started the blog candy contest but I'm lucky to get maybe 5 comments a day.  Now when I partake in the 'Operation Write Home' blog hops I was swamped with comments and I didn't offer anything but a tutorial so what's going on?  OK, I just wanted to vent so I'll step away from the podium and go to bed.
You all have a blessed day!!!

I'm here... I just read through Outlook with RSS and am to busy (I read at work) or too lazy (depending on the day) to open a new window to be able to comment!

The art is, as usual, beautiful!

And I didn't enter cuz I have too much of my own that I need to "send out into the world" to get any more coming in, LOL!!

COngratulations on your blog anniversary! I'm so glad you started blogging so we could all share in your beautiful art work.

Guess what? I finally posted to my blog! Yay me! LOL Now I just have to keep it up, and get back into the habit of commenting on people's blogs (including yours).

The roses are beautiful. My Dad loved roses and every time I see one it brings him to my thoughts. The card is so pretty. I love the 3D look. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great weekend!!!

Your roses are fabulous! I love how you colored them. I read your blog through Google Reader thus have to click into your actual blog, then on comments to leave a comment. Most days I'm short on time and just don't do it. I didn't enter to win because I have plenty of Spellbinders dies - its a great offer and I hope someone takes you up on it soon. Don't get discouraged.
