Well golly its been a long time and so much has happened.  I went to St. Germain, Wi. for 6 weeks, stayed at the Wisconsin Dells for a week and visited with an old classmate and friend of mine Charlene Erhke.  I visited with John and Diane Wirth (aka Sissy) for 6 weeks and it could not have been more relaxing.  I loved every minute of it and although we didn't really do much it was just nice to sit and feel comfortable.  Meals were great, Sissy is the best cook and she had to have foot surgery but that was nice cause we got to spend a lot more quality time together.  Looking forward in going next year also we'll see if I can get the house ready for sale or not.  Then I drove down to Goshen, In. for the International FROG Rally, that was totally awesome.  I got over $3000 in repairs made for the price of the Rally, made alot of new friends and learned alot about the RV.
I've made a lot of cards but for the Senior Home in Cleveland.  Now I'm gearing up to take Georgia, Cricket, Tucker and Jake to Florida for 5 months.  After waking up this morning freezing and running to turn the heater on I'm ready or will be in 2 weeks.  Even Tucker didn't want to get out of bed it was so cold and he appreciated his brown sweat shirt once he felt the morning air.

Here is a couple of cards I've made  while I was re organizing my stuff in the RV.  I'm suppose to teach card making classes at the Sun Resort I'm staying at.  I chose to do some paper piecing cards and some stamped cards.

I finally got the wheel barrel and tulips dies from Obsession Impressions and had so much fun with them. Oh but I didn't use the tulips on this card because I was hoping the flowers didn't get lost in the arrangement.  Well I best close and get to packing up for another trip to Florida.  Take care and God Bless.

On the Road Again

I'm headed out again for a long summer vacation.  I'm headed up to the north country to visit my bestest friend since 6th grade Diane Kopp - Wirth.  She lives in St. Germain, Wi.  I'm taking the RV this time with Jake & Tucker.  I have tons of packing or transferring of stuff to the RV but I'll get it done.  I can still make cards and craft on the road which makes me so happy.  So I'll keep you up to date on where I am and when I'm traveling.  In the meantime here is some cards I've made in the past week.
I love this Flamingo.  Flamingo's are all the rage now and this one reminds me of me.  Always falling, always messing up, always questioning myself but it was quick and simple and I think its adorable.

To all my golfing friends this ones for you.  Artist Impressions can always come up with cute ideas and darling images.  I used Stampin Up cardstock and Vellum, copied the colors with Copic's and finished an adorable card.
This is also an Artist Impressions stamp, love the oldie's but goodies and this lady's ready for fireworks.

Have a great weekend everyone, have fun enjoy your family.  And try to remember tomorrow may never come so never let something go unsaid.
God Bless you all.

Cards for the Retirement Home

I give out all my cards that I make to the retirement homes in Cleveland.  What I don't sell or send to friends and family I donate to the those that don't get a card or letter from loved ones.  It's something that I am very sincere about I know that getting a card, letter or call from friends and family are very important to a persons state of mind and I will continue to do this until I absolutely can't.
This is just a random card I made with the stamps from the  S.U. Paper Pumpkin Kit I actually like the modern technique of this card and I love the colors.

I just pulled this colored image out of my stash and added a wink of stella to the fish face and candles.  I used My Favorite Things Subtle Plaids 6 X 6 Paper Pack, love this pack of paper.

This card I cut the Top Note out of white cardstock then I used the spray metallic's to get this really unique card.  Used SU buttons and SU embossing folder and I think its a great manly card.

I think this is an old image I found and decided to use the SU vellum paper on it.  The cording is SU and I glued it on along with a greeting and I was finished.  These are all an example of the birthday cards I made for the Retirement home.  I have over 100 done so that while I am on my summer vacation I know that everyone will be getting cards.

You know it doesn't take much to Pay it Forward and I certainly hope each and everyone one of you will take the time to either give a compliment to someone or do something nice for a friend.
God Bless you.  Jeanine

Well I said I would post some cards and I've been busy.  This top one is one of my favorites because its all about making presents on a card and using tissue paper and handles for the gift bags.  I must have made 10 of these for the girls on the Birthday Club list I send out monthly.  So much fun, I actually got 35 cards in toll from the girls in my group and none were even close to look alikes.  I got so many wonderful ideas and great birthday wishes.

My second card I made for my grandson to give his Mom for Mother's Day but he forgot it so now I have a Mothers day card or I could take the sentiment off and make it into something else.  I love the flowers and embossing them just makes them pop.

Yes I went crazy for the Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and I love putting ties on them hats, and I'm setting up a word document for things Crazy Birds would say.  Stay tune to see some fun Crazy Bird cards that I love to make and color with distress inks.  My Copic's are in the RV so I've used Stampin UP markers (ick) and watercolors to color my stuff lately.  I should go out and get them but since I've only got 4 more weeks till I leave on my next adventure I'll leave them there and get organized to hit the road again for 3 months this time.

I'll sign off for now and catch up with you all in a few days.  My pork roast is calling me from the crock pot to make it into BBQ.  Take care and God Bless you.   Jeanine

Selling off a ..............

Hi there, I need to clean my Studio out.  It has been a catch all since the Tornado 5 years ago.  I'm still buying, still making cards and still enjoying the craft but it looks like a war zone in that room and now my dining area.  I need to pair down and get rid of stuff that I never use if I'm going to move into Georgia and RV full-time.
Just before I left for Florida last year I had new carpet put in and new upholstery.  Bad move on my part because I got Tucker Dec. 23rd and he was only 8 weeks old.  He is the most stubborn dog I have ever met, he didn't think the Potty Pad was for pee pee, Pooping was always done in the same spot. Needless to say before I leave this summer the carpet will be shampoo'd and between Jake & Tucker  and me,  I will be the dominate one, the boss, the leader!
Gosh I leave in less than 45 days to go to Wisconsin, Indiana, and the Pigeon Forge.  I'm excited it will be the most driving I've done in forever. Over a thousand miles to Diane's, then down to the F.R.O.G. Rally in Goshen, In. after that I will drive down through Kentucky and attend a 3 day Birthday Card Club Retreat. I am so excited woo hoo!!!!
Ok anyway trying to keep this sale thing straight and on two Internet boards and the postage, oh that is such a joke then packing it and shipping.  I'm bushed and I haven't made a card in days so........ hang in there with me I'll have a card posted this week I promise.

OH OH OH the big news is my Second Great Grandson was born Thursday 5 weeks early.  After much praying and thoughts Kaiden is still in NICU but he's looking real good and has big feet just like Big Brother Karson.  God Bless you all.

Well it happened turned the big 70 last week but the good news is I got 38 birthday cards from friends and family .Could not have asked for a better birthday only thing that didn't happen is that Tucker didn't get Tucked, clipped or neutered guess this 3 pound boy is waiting to be a real man.  Anyway all is well around here, my friend Cathy got a pace maker put in and she's feeling really well for the first time in a really long time.

I've done some card making but I'm preparing for a trip to St. Germain, Wi. and Goshen, In. in June so getting the RV ready is my first priority.  Here's a couple of the cards I've made.

You all know my love for butterflies and I love the color combo black & white so these were simple easily cards I made for Head Gamez, where Joey & Linda sell my cards.  They requested Get Well & Sympathy cards with butterflies so these are just a few.   Everyone take care and know I think of all my followers often that's why I'm trying hard to post more.
God Bless, Jeanine

Contest Entry for Sizzix

Lord have mercy on me I've once again let my followers down by not following thru with some posts.  I have just been in another world for so long.  I haven't crafted but sporadically for the past year.  Oh but I still buy stamping stuff and then I'll sit down and make cards or play with my new toys for a few days then blam I fall off again.  What is wrong with me?  Why can't I stay on a straight path and quit being so wishy washy?  Could it be that my mind, body and heck I don't know what else will be 70 that's seventy years old in less than 7 days.  The Lord has blessed me so very much and I thank my almighty maker everyday I'm on this earth for the good & bad.  I can only say I'll try to be a better person to my followers by blogging at least once a week and Lord willing and the creek don't dry I'll put it on my calendar and phone to alert me to this promise for all of you.

Now this is a few of my latest creations.  Thanks for Head Gamez, Joey French and Linda Silvers for selling my cards at their shop I always get requests for special cards.  This past Christmas Joey contacted me in Florida with a request for 40 more Christmas cards for special patrons.  Now they asked me to make lots of butterfly cards and sympathy cards.  Well anyone that knows me knows I love butterflies (I actually have one on the side of my RV and loads more inside).  Every chance I get I stop by butterfly farms, museums and such I LOVE BUTTERFLIES.  I even believe that my Daddy visits me regularly in the hue of a pale yellow butterfly.
This is SU card stock, embossing folder and Sizzix & Su butterfly dies all on confetti white cardstock.  Very plain but very dramatic.
This again is SU cardstock, a Sizzix embossing folder and a Sizzix tree die cut.
Lastly is SU cardstock with Very vanilla and black. the stamp is Angel Company and SU embossing powder in gold.  Now I will be the first to say some of my stuff is unmarked so I don't know if it's Tonic, Sizzix, SU or who and when that happens I will explain it my age has made my mind spongy something I am not proud of but an old dog can learn new tricks.  Now I'm off to play with my Mini Misti that I just got in the mail.  Till another day, God Bless you all.

With a little help from a friend!

I'm back..............................................Oh and did I mention that I signed up with Lori Stigler in Nashville to be my upline for Stampin UP!  Yes I needed a new lease on stamping and I have always loved Stampin UP!  So if anyone needs anything, anything at all from Stampin UP!  talk to me and help me stay in business for a while.  I have a new bunch of stamps (I sold all my other ones almost) and now I'm in the groove.  I'm stamping and playing everyday and I'm happy, so here's a little sample of some of the things I've done.
This is an Tim Holtz embossing folder then I used a Darice embossing folder to do the Cross.  After I adhered everything together I added a tiny border to the bottom from Dazzles.  Then I must have took 15 pictures and couldn't get the glare out of it so.  Here you be.

This one is a Darice embossing folder and I water colored the images embossed on the sheet, put a bow from Stampin UP! bow punch, some shiny grass and I'm done.  I like the softness of the whole card yet the pop of grass.

These are some of my favorite cards from the Gina K Designs and I used my Copic's to color the images then I added a pinwheel brad, some Washi Tape as the background and I was done.

The verses that go with these cards are all individual stamps so you can put what you want on the inside of the card and 'Yes I can relate to all the verses.
This is a little owl card that I made for a swap that I'm in every month (2nd month I've partaken) so I guess I really am getting back into this.  I just missed being able to make something nice.

Now here is my favorite card so far.  I love the paper (just scraps I don't even know who makes them) I had the die cut and the Martha Stewart doily I got the orange ribbon flower online and just put the little cross in it.  I added a MS butterfly that I added some color to and its done except for the inside of the card.

I've been doing alot of paper inside the card also it helps to finish off the card and make it look more professional.  I follow Darsie Bruno's blog she's come a long way from when we were all on DeeDee's team of card makers.  Now she designs for Spellbinders and about 10 other companies.  She's just amazing and I doubt I will ever be as good as her but its something to work for.

Now before I sign off I want you to know I've been real close to shutting down the blog because I don't here any comments probably because I'm so infrequent but I'm am trying so if I know someone is watching I'll continue otherwise I'm going to quit posting and spend more time creating.  Thanks for taking the time to look and thanks for believing in me when I lost hope in believing anything.  God Bless and know God is always with you.  That's something I forgot for a while.  Have a great day catch you in a few.  LOL

Everyone needs encouragement.  It's the opposite of bullying or hurting.
someone's feelings yet it gives them a sense of hope.  Isn't that a good feeling to have inside yourself?  I'm the kind of person that needs encouragement I need to know I'm doing the right thing and I would hope that I convey that to others each day of my life.  Put yourself the word I in this verse 1 Corinthians 13:4-6, I put myself in there and realize I have a lot more to learn about myself.

That's why I like to make these encouragement cards for others when their feeling down, undecided, lonely, or just lost in the moment.  Make it a point to

always compliment someone no matter how little it will mean the world to them that you thought something special of them.  I know these might be silly ideas but they sure mean a lot to me when someone compliments me on my hair, my eyes, my shirt or my cards.  Always remember to 'Pay it Forward', God Bless.

Don't you just see the neighbor sitting in the sun in Florida with his puppy by his side sippin a ice tea and soakin up the rays?  I love this stamp set is Art Impressions and I am always getting request for handmade post cards or greeting cards for RVing or camping so this stamp set is perfect.
This next one is just cardstock layered with fishing stickers attached because I have a huge fan base of fishermen and the wives love to give their men cards.

While I'm on the road I make cards, sell cards for $1 each and I give haircuts to men & women for a donation.  That way I have a little stash to buy me something great someday.  I'm also know to give my cards away as Thank you packs just because someone did something special for me or touch me with their smile.  I'm a big supporter of the 'Pay it Forward' concept and I hope each and everyone of you will try it, the happiness it brings me is priceless.

Have a great day and remember to SMILE at someone, they'll like it and it will start to fill your heart with so much.    God Bless

Butterfly's & Thank You's

Ok so its almost 5 months later and I haven't posted, gee willacures!  Thats a long time and I really have no excuse except Florida Internet is horrible.  But I came back on April 3rd, stayed home for a few days then went to Pigeon Forge for my annual birthday camp.  I actually went for the Stamp Escape that was put on for the STAMPERS who complain no stamp shows come our way.  Well in the 3 days I attended I didn't meet a single one Tennessee Stamper.  I'm proud of the fact that I am a TS even though I don't partake with the group I still think there are a lot of wonderful girls in the group.   I think Tom and Janet with the Scrapbooking Store did a wonderful job and deserve a lot of credit for the classes that were put on and the Make & Take event on Friday night.   I had a great time and learned or refresh this old brain with lots of good stuff and I got a Goody Bag that was worth $50.  I really am upset that more of the TS didn't show up, hey guess you know it all an didn't want to support Stampers in Tennessee.

Enough said on that issue the card posted was one of at least 20 I made either in classes or at the Make & Take.  So without further ado here's a few more.
I went to a class and made 3 adorable slider cards and its totally different than when I learned it years ago.  You can buy cards already made for sliders or you can buy the die-cut.  Amazing until I just read the verse inside that doesn't match the Happy Birthday card, Oops!
Everyone knows Janet from the Scrapbook store and one of our own TS, but she shared this card on the Make & Take night and I just love it.  I even bought the 2 stamps and stamp pad to make these.  Thanks Janet for planning a great time for all.  Now I promise to be better at getting back with you all and posting regularly since I am making cards again for OWH and Nursing Home.

Everyone have a safe day and a warm one this one is just a little to chilly for me but God willin and the creek don't dry, I'll be fine.    God Bless.

Port Richey, Florida Ja-Mar RV Resort

Yep there are three little 4 foot crocks in the pond so my brother isn't fishing much here in Port Richey, Fl.  Actually the weather has been cool and very windy so we haven't been to the pool at all.  The last two nights the storms have been so bad I just huddled in bed, scared me so bad I was ready to pack it in and go somewhere safe.  I can't believe I've been here since Nov. 22nd the time is flying and it seems like we're busy all the time.
Today we left at 10:00 AM to go to a beach, isn't it funny that beach and ocean park are two different things.  After driving over 50miles we finally asked a EMS Supervisor about a beach where we could walk in the sand.  Although Ann (Bob's wife) still isn't feeling good she went along but the 30 mph winds made it impossible to walk very far.  We finally found a beautiful beach with its own peninsula called Howard Park in Tarpon Springs.

The time is flying down here, I can't believe I have been gone over 2 months.  It sure has given me time to reflect and try to find myself again.  I realize that by wanting and expecting people to care about me I have driven them away, so I need to be myself and respect their life also.  So enjoy the crock pictures and until tomorrow remember to 'Pay it Forward'.  Hugs from sunny Port Richey, Florida.

Positive Update on my RV Travels and Card Making

Wow has it really been a year and a half since I wrote to my friends and updated them on my progress?  I'm ashamed of myself and Jake and I want you to know we will try to keep up better.  Jake is doing so well in the RV and he hates it when we go home because he has so much roaming room and he's not always in the same room as me.  Now 30 feet isn't much room if you've seen our Georgia (my name for my 2004 Forest River Georgetown).  I love it even if she cost me money almost every time I take her out.

Bob and Ann came down on Jan. 5th and met me in Bushnell for 2 weeks then we moved onto Port Richey on the Gulf coast for a week.  We got up yesterday and went to the pond and those 3 little gators or crocks met us for some food. Thought they would come up the side of the pond but they didn't. Then we drove around and found some beaches but they weren't really beaches because you couldn't go by the water, thats not what I call a beach.  Then at 5 pm the sky broke loose and we had a rain storm to end all wind and rain storms.  Since we are only a 1/2 mile from the ocean the winds are high but the weather is beautiful.  The storm ended this morning and now the sky is super blue and I think the rest of the day will be wonderful.  Course I chose to make this day my cleaning day.  Time for laundry, vacumning, dusting and a little cooking for freezer dinners.

I've made about 20 cards in the 2 months that I waited for Bob and Ann to get here. This trip I packed a bunch of cardstock and goodies in a rolling Iris cart so I could make cards and I'm doing better just not so into it anymore.

Well I've chatted along for quite some time and I think I need to get back to Jake and Georgia before the storm comes.  Again Florida isn't known for great Internet so I'll try to write again as soon as I can.  Janet Johnson is coming to visit tomorrow she lives in Clearwater, Fl. now and we keep missing each other but I can't wait to see her sisters and catch up.

Take care and always remember to Pay it Forward.  God Bless.

July 9th and still waiting!

Ok so its July 9th and I'm still waiting on the County to put in the driveway for Georgia.  Well I've had a reason and so have the County for not getting Georgia home.........................

Yes that's the flash flood that hit us for the second time this week thank goodness my Grandson Justin was around to help bail out the water I got in the basement.  Twice in 5 days I was ready to throw in the towel and just leave I am so fed up with this house.  If it wasn't for Justin I would have gone got in Georgia and said take everything I'm done.  You know they say God only gives you as much as you can handle but year after year after year I am so done I can't handle it anymore, I don't want to handle it anymore.  Georgia is my relief and I'm going down tomorrow to move a bunch of stuff in.  I think I'll spend the night in the campgrounds and then get ready to bring her home.  The County says they will be out here sometime next week but I can't wait I wanna start my fun times.

That's Jake my bashful cat.

In the mean time I have been making a few cards for OWH that's Operation Write Home.  I'm trying to use up all that paper I have been hording for the past 9 years.  And for now I'm not saving scraps cause I don't have room for everything in my new traveling home.  Yes I have to say right now that if you don't want me pulling up in front of your house I advise you change your address in the next few months or that you notify me you don't want company cause in September I'm hittin the road for two months before my
FIRST GREAT GRANDCHILD is born November 15th.  Now he's due the 16th but that's a Saturday so I'm predicting he'll choose to bless our lives on November 15, 2013.
So that's what my life's been like the last few weeks but I still thank God every night for all my blessings especially my daughters and grand children.  Have a great week be back in the next week or so.

My new life begins.....................

This is Georgia, she and I started a new life adventure last Thursday the 20th of June when I bought her to be my new home away from homes.  I have Justin (my oldest grandson) living with me now since his parents moved to Colorado Springs, Co. and he's trying to finish his college education.  Needless to say I won't be selling the house until he finishes school so he's going to be the keeper of the house on Archer Lane.  I have always wanted to travel around the U.S. but after I retired I moved to be near my daughter and grandkids.  Mom had a heart attack and I ended up being her care taker for 8 years.  So now after my health issues, the tornado and Mom passing I'm ready to take the bull by the horns and go.  It's probably taken me better than a year to research and look for that special unit but when I saw Georgia I knew I had found home.  Granted I had said I wanted a small unit 24 feet something I could take anywhere but the more I looked and the more I researched I realized the Class A was the best deal.

This is a Forest River RV, Georgetown model with 2 slides, 31.5 feet long from bumper to bumper and 12.8 feet tall.  I took a driving course on Thursday afternoon of 3 hours and luckily I didn't hit any cars, trucks or curbs.  I learned how to make a right turn a left turn and backing up with the rear view camera.
Of coarse I had to have a table and lots of storage for my card making so below the booth seats are 4 feet of storage on both sides and there are cabinets overhead.   Since I'm not much of a cooker I didn't need a large kitchen...
and I didn't need a large refrigerator but I have tons of storage space inside and then the basement is big also.
Check out the pantry next to the refrigerator and all the drawers.  Then we move to the large walk in shower
and the private bathroom with potty and lots of counter and storage space in there.  But my pride and joy is the bedroom with all the closet space and drawers.  Well you all know I have two artificial hips lots of metal in my back and femur so I need to sit down to do my hair and make-up,  This bedroom made me say yes almost on the spot.
Now I negotiated for a while then I walked out and went back a week later after I had done more research and had a good amount of info to offer them.  After a while we struck a deal and I'm a happy camper.  I have a ton of stuff to load into it but before that I have to have the County come out and widen my driveway.  I will be on them like shit on a stick until they finish it so I can bring my girlfriend home and get ready for the traveling.  I'm in RV paradise right now but I'm so happy and excited I can hardly wait.  My brother (Bob) is coming in this week to help with some stuff and then I'll be off.  But I promise to keep up the blog with all my travel and crafting as much as possible, just bear with me for a while till I get ready.
Stampin Hugs,   Jeanine

Birthday greetings

Time sure flies when your busy with life, I can't believe its Thursday and I will be leaving in four days to go visit my grand kids in Arizona.  Seems like Duke was just born and living in my condo in Phoenix and now he's graduating from school.  I'm excited to see everyone and have lunch plans with co-workers and I even have a date to go on a ride along with my good old partner Mikey Jordan in the Phoenix P.D. helicopter.  Just hope my body doesn't give out but plan to take my cane and good walking shoes.

The card above is one I made for 'Operation Write Home' although I could use it for my oldest grandson's birthday which was Monday the 13th 'Happy Birthday Justin'  or I could give it to my oldest daughter who's birthday is the 18th of May 'Happy Birthday Vicki'.  She sold her house so they will be moving to Colorado in the next month or so, it will be sad to see her go but it's her choice and nothing I can do about it.  Life just goes on....................

So I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day and I'll be home before Memorial Day so I'll wait to show a card I made about that.  Still looking for the RV just haven't found anything that I really like, but a lass Phoenix has hundreds of RV dealer so who knows I might just drive home from there instead of flying, wish me luck.

Until then have a great week and if I have time I'll check in from Phoenix.  God Bless, Jeanine

Well butter my buns and call me a biscuit!

Wow its Saturday the 2 year anniversary of the Tornado that leveled this neighborhood.  The weather looks identical as it did that day dark and ominous my neighbor and I have already spoke today about it.  We both have very vivid memories of it, I know it was the start of some very bad times for me and I'm just now starting to come out of the darkness.  But you know what, I have to say I was very blessed that day that it was not worse for me.  It was the beginning of feeling very alone and my faith has helped me there.  I tried to reach out yesterday to someone but they didn't care so now I just continue to go on day by day and live my life.  I'm done trying to salvage what meant more to me than life itself.  It just makes me more depressed and I'm trying so hard to come out of that.

Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy each other for we have such little time left together. God Bless,
Jeanine
