July 9th and still waiting!

Ok so its July 9th and I'm still waiting on the County to put in the driveway for Georgia.  Well I've had a reason and so have the County for not getting Georgia home.........................

Yes that's the flash flood that hit us for the second time this week thank goodness my Grandson Justin was around to help bail out the water I got in the basement.  Twice in 5 days I was ready to throw in the towel and just leave I am so fed up with this house.  If it wasn't for Justin I would have gone got in Georgia and said take everything I'm done.  You know they say God only gives you as much as you can handle but year after year after year I am so done I can't handle it anymore, I don't want to handle it anymore.  Georgia is my relief and I'm going down tomorrow to move a bunch of stuff in.  I think I'll spend the night in the campgrounds and then get ready to bring her home.  The County says they will be out here sometime next week but I can't wait I wanna start my fun times.

That's Jake my bashful cat.

In the mean time I have been making a few cards for OWH that's Operation Write Home.  I'm trying to use up all that paper I have been hording for the past 9 years.  And for now I'm not saving scraps cause I don't have room for everything in my new traveling home.  Yes I have to say right now that if you don't want me pulling up in front of your house I advise you change your address in the next few months or that you notify me you don't want company cause in September I'm hittin the road for two months before my
FIRST GREAT GRANDCHILD is born November 15th.  Now he's due the 16th but that's a Saturday so I'm predicting he'll choose to bless our lives on November 15, 2013.
So that's what my life's been like the last few weeks but I still thank God every night for all my blessings especially my daughters and grand children.  Have a great week be back in the next week or so.

My new life begins.....................

This is Georgia, she and I started a new life adventure last Thursday the 20th of June when I bought her to be my new home away from homes.  I have Justin (my oldest grandson) living with me now since his parents moved to Colorado Springs, Co. and he's trying to finish his college education.  Needless to say I won't be selling the house until he finishes school so he's going to be the keeper of the house on Archer Lane.  I have always wanted to travel around the U.S. but after I retired I moved to be near my daughter and grandkids.  Mom had a heart attack and I ended up being her care taker for 8 years.  So now after my health issues, the tornado and Mom passing I'm ready to take the bull by the horns and go.  It's probably taken me better than a year to research and look for that special unit but when I saw Georgia I knew I had found home.  Granted I had said I wanted a small unit 24 feet something I could take anywhere but the more I looked and the more I researched I realized the Class A was the best deal.

This is a Forest River RV, Georgetown model with 2 slides, 31.5 feet long from bumper to bumper and 12.8 feet tall.  I took a driving course on Thursday afternoon of 3 hours and luckily I didn't hit any cars, trucks or curbs.  I learned how to make a right turn a left turn and backing up with the rear view camera.
Of coarse I had to have a table and lots of storage for my card making so below the booth seats are 4 feet of storage on both sides and there are cabinets overhead.   Since I'm not much of a cooker I didn't need a large kitchen...
and I didn't need a large refrigerator but I have tons of storage space inside and then the basement is big also.
Check out the pantry next to the refrigerator and all the drawers.  Then we move to the large walk in shower
and the private bathroom with potty and lots of counter and storage space in there.  But my pride and joy is the bedroom with all the closet space and drawers.  Well you all know I have two artificial hips lots of metal in my back and femur so I need to sit down to do my hair and make-up,  This bedroom made me say yes almost on the spot.
Now I negotiated for a while then I walked out and went back a week later after I had done more research and had a good amount of info to offer them.  After a while we struck a deal and I'm a happy camper.  I have a ton of stuff to load into it but before that I have to have the County come out and widen my driveway.  I will be on them like shit on a stick until they finish it so I can bring my girlfriend home and get ready for the traveling.  I'm in RV paradise right now but I'm so happy and excited I can hardly wait.  My brother (Bob) is coming in this week to help with some stuff and then I'll be off.  But I promise to keep up the blog with all my travel and crafting as much as possible, just bear with me for a while till I get ready.

Birthday greetings

Time sure flies when your busy with life, I can't believe its Thursday and I will be leaving in four days to go visit my grand kids in Arizona.  Seems like Duke was just born and living in my condo in Phoenix and now he's graduating from school.  I'm excited to see everyone and have lunch plans with co-workers and I even have a date to go on a ride along with my good old partner Mikey Jordan in the Phoenix P.D. helicopter.  Just hope my body doesn't give out but plan to take my cane and good walking shoes.

The card above is one I made for 'Operation Write Home' although I could use it for my oldest grandson's birthday which was Monday the 13th 'Happy Birthday Justin'  or I could give it to my oldest daughter who's birthday is the 18th of May 'Happy Birthday Vicki'.  She sold her house so they will be moving to Colorado in the next month or so, it will be sad to see her go but it's her choice and nothing I can do about it.  Life just goes on....................

So I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day and I'll be home before Memorial Day so I'll wait to show a card I made about that.  Still looking for the RV just haven't found anything that I really like, but a lass Phoenix has hundreds of RV dealer so who knows I might just drive home from there instead of flying, wish me luck.

Until then have a great week and if I have time I'll check in from Phoenix.  God Bless, Jeanine

Well butter my buns and call me a biscuit!

Wow its Saturday the 2 year anniversary of the Tornado that leveled this neighborhood.  The weather looks identical as it did that day dark and ominous my neighbor and I have already spoke today about it.  We both have very vivid memories of it, I know it was the start of some very bad times for me and I'm just now starting to come out of the darkness.  But you know what, I have to say I was very blessed that day that it was not worse for me.  It was the beginning of feeling very alone and my faith has helped me there.  I tried to reach out yesterday to someone but they didn't care so now I just continue to go on day by day and live my life.  I'm done trying to salvage what meant more to me than life itself.  It just makes me more depressed and I'm trying so hard to come out of that.

Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy each other for we have such little time left together. God Bless,
Jeanine

Well its Sunday and I have little to report.  I drove up to Louisville outside of Knoxville to see some RV's yesterday but the gentleman that reported he had some great deals for me to see was to busy to see me and so I waited over 30 minutes to see another salesman, now isn't that a change of pace?  Then I was told two of the three motor homes I went to see were sold and the third one was a old piece of junk.  Geez I was mad so I ended up looking at another RV place although they only had one and it was $39,999. Guess I'm wishing for gold on a aluminum budget!
Well I have been making a few cards here and there and thought I would post some that I mailed off to Operation Write Home on Friday.

Yes I like pink and I was in a pink mood and life sucks sometimes.  I know God is just testing me but I wasn't a good student in school and he should know that!    I can't wait to sell off this house and hit the road.  God Bless to all catch you all later!!!!!!!

A new me!

Hello everyone, I know its been a long long time and for that I am sorry but I needed some me time to recover after the tornado, Mom's passing and life in general.  I'm still making cards for Operation Write Home but their not as detailed as I use to make.  I have moved a lot of my stuff upstairs and work in the area but I am packing up and trying to liquidate as much as I can.  I plan to get a storage locker and move everything that I'm keeping there until I decide what I really want to do.  Shall I be a full-time  RVer or just go on a whim?  Until I do it, I really won't know but heck fire I gotta find a RV that I want first.  So I put some time each day away to go look or search the Internet.  I'll keep updating the blog and I'll post about my travels, experiences and cardmaking as much as I can.  Wish me luck and know I'm out there finally.

I guess I should fill everyone in on all that's been happening in my life.  Geez last year I went in for my left hip replacement and ended up in a Rehab hospital for 3 months due to them breaking my femur in surgery and not knowing until 2 weeks later after much protesting from me.  I had been forced to walk on it  by Physical Therapy and so I shattered the femur. I couldn't believe my poor kitty Jake was watched by my neighbor but he was traumatized over it. The my precious Granddaughter asked me to help her with her wedding and that was wow amazing.  We formed a bond between us that will be there forever.
I have not taken many trips since I was busy with the wedding February 2, 2013, but I did have to run up to Missouri two days after the wedding because my brother had open heart surgery and a quadruple bypass surgery.  He's doing great as a matter of fact he's off RVing in his 40 foot Beaver.  Well I best close this up and check emails but I promise to be back soon.  Tomorrow I'm going to Knoxville to look at RV's, so wish me luck.  God Bless, Jeanine
